Service Contracts

We offer onsite service contacts which can run for one, two or five years. We have qualified engineers dedicated to maintain label printing hardware from all the industry leading manufacturers including SATO, Toshiba Tec, Zebra, Astromed, Intermec, Avery, Printronix, Symbol and Datamax. These contracts offer peace of mind in knowing you will have an engineer onsite within a fixed time frame to resolve the problem. This is critical to any labelling process so the minimum down time occurs. 

Spare Parts

We also supply spare parts for most models of printers. In the event that a part is obsolete or the printer is deemed unrepairable we can provide you with alternative printer details and a quotation for a new replacement printer.

Print Heads

PRISYMID are able to provide printheads for most makes of thermal transfer printers and as print heads are consumable items, they come with a warranty covering either a specific time period or specification/s e.g. if cleaned regularly and used with the correct media/ribbon. The cleaning of the print head is paramount to the life span of the head. Ideally after each ribbon change the head should be cleaned to ensure a longevity of the print head. 

There is a recommended temperature that print heads should run at depending upon media type and print type, always ensure that you run at that specified temperature otherwise you could burn the head out. In the event a label should get stuck in your printer head, please contact our help desk (+44 (0) 1189 364 414) who will be happy to assist with guiding you though safe removal of the label.
